We decided that is was high time to freshen up our website design with an updated look. So we have changed our logo design, and the main layout at the top of the web page has had a new graphical design added too. So far the feedback has been good, and you our customers seem to like it. We have also incorporated the Google + vote buttons through out most of the website. We will soon be updating our web design portfolio with newer examples of our work. We are well aware that there are some websites still on there that we built 7 years ago. Where as most of our newer work is not yet added to the portfolio. Some of these are ecommerce websites and others are business websites. We have also decided to focus more on the Search Engine Optimisation service that we offer. We have invested heavily in this area and are able to offer you SEO (or Search engine optimisation, also known as search engine optimization or sometimes SEM - Search Engine Marketing). If you have just one or two keywords that you would like us to work on for you, we can do that for you no problem. Alternatively you might have a large website with 20, 40, 60 or more keywords that you want us to work on for you. This too is not a problem, we can cater for all sizes of campaign. It is worth noting that we dont make you sign up to a long contract either, we just do good work, and rely on our results to keep you as a loyal customer. We work with our optimisation customers for 1 month at a time. During that month we will optimise your website in Google and other search engines, at the end of the month you decide if you would like us to keep working on the website. The good results that we have achieved during that month will be what you will be able to base your decision on. Some websites only require 1 or 2 months to get right to the top, and it may take many months before they start to slip, at which point you can simply come back to us and we can work our SEO magic on your website again. Other websites with more competition may take several months to get to the top, however even in this situation, you will see movement in the SERPs (search engine page results) so you will be able to see yourself making progress. You may have realised the importance of Google maps, or Google Places listings in local search results. They are currently a hot subject and are being heavily promoted by Google. The upshot of this for you is that if you search for a keyword, depending on the keyword, the chances are that you will see at the top of the page on Google's search results the local Google Map, or Google Places listings. They often show a photograph or image, as well as the company name, contact phone number, and email address, and a list to their website, or if they dont have a website a list to their Place page on Google. This is a very powerful advert, and with the positioning being right at the top of the page, above the natural search results, more people are likely to click on and view these adverts. There are lots of ebooks and things out there on how to get to the top of the Google maps results, but beware they are mostly talking rubbish. The advice in them seems to range from ways of trying to game Google in to putting your listing at the top by cramming the title with keywords, to adding your area and address in places they are not supposed to go. We can assure you that these techniques will not work,? in fact they not only will not work , they may actually get you penalised or banned.
